Now in it's 13th year, the Penn Valley Daffodil Run is a Penn Valley Area "Signature Event".
The Daffodil Run is presented by the Penn Valley Area Chamber of Commerce, the Penn Valley High Graders Lions Club and
the Penn Valley Rotary Club.
Proceeds from the race provide funds to purchase Daffodil Bulbs for the Penn Valley Daffodil Planting Program.
Eventually Daffodils will line the major roads in the Penn Valley area.
The contest between Ready Springs/Vantage point; Pleasant Valley/ Williams Ranch and Clear Creek schools continues.
The school with the greatest percent of runners and walkers signing up in support of the school, based on school enrollment, will win $500,
second place $200 and third place $100.
New this year! A $500 scholarship will be given to a graduating senior in Nevada County.
Also new, $500 will be donated to the Penn Valley Sign project. Penn Valley Rotary, Penn Valley Lions, Penn Valley Chamber of Commerce, and
Penn Valley Rodeo Association are completing a project to put signage in Western Gateway Park announcing Penn Valley events.
